Sandblasters in Science

Sandblasters model weathering, erosion, and deposition.

When we blew with different strengths of "wind" the pattern of sand on the cards was different. The heavier sand stuck lower on the paper. Finer sand was higher on the card because it was lighter.

The sandblaster transformed tasty looking sugar cubes to dirty, chipped, and tumbled lumps.

Coming next week: More weathering, eroding, and depositing of earth materials.
