Some Important Upcoming Dates

Friday, April 18, 2014 We are hoping to continue the annual IA tradition of Downtown Denver Day.  Parents can take small groups of students to visit some of our city's cultural highlights.  A flyer went home on Wednesday with suggestions and a sign up sheet.  In order for this event to be a success we need a minimum of six adults willing to run a field trip and for each student to bring a sack lunch and $10 to cover costs.  Please let me know right away if you can run a trip; if we don't get enough adults we will have a regular school day on 4/18.

April 23, 2014 is an early release day so advisors can prepare for spring conferences.

April 24 & 25 are the days set aside for spring conferences.  Please make sure you and your child have signed up for an open house slot.  The sign-up sheet is in the reguarly place in the JCOS school lobby. Students will learn who their PreWalkabout advisor will be during this conference!

May 2, 2014  Field Day

May 8, 2014 "Retain Your Brain" IA Family Night at 5:30 in the library.  Come learn how you can keep your skills over the summer break and start the next academic year without needing skills review.

May 12-16  SDL Presentations.  Students have already signed up for specific times.  

May 23, 2014  Boondocks Fun Day!  Students will need to bring $15 and a sack lunch to this fun event.  Drivers are needed.

May 27, 2014  All School Picnic

5:00-7:00?  Sixth Grade Continuation!  Parents are needed to plan the fun parts of this celebration.  Please contact Gabrielle if you are interested in spearheading this wonderful event.

May 28, 2014  Balloon Ceremony and last day of school.  This is an early release day.  Students may need additional help carrying home all of his/her supplies and portfolios.
